So, I go to watch the 11PM news, and they have "breaking news" that's about...John Mark Karr arriving at LAX, and what he ate on his business class trip.

...

I turn off the TV and am now listening to NPR on iTunes. This is absolutely ridiculous.

In other news, I saw Snakes on a Plane with Ariana last night. The audience was less rowdy than I would have liked, but it was still funny. And I dreamt of turtles, not snakes. Thank God.

Hmmm...

During our radiation safety training today, we were given a table of relative life-related risks that could shorten lifespan. (Obviously, to prove that radiation was really the least of our worries.) At the top, being an unmarried man: losing 5 years of one's life. My lab partner Nick was incredulous. "This doesn't make any sense!"

And then he mentioned later that he ate nothing but cereal at home.

...hmm, I wonder....
